Carriers and door-to-door

Do you deliver with your own carriers?

Yes. Our carriers deliver your flyers door to door across Montréal, Laval and the South Shore. This lets you choose exactly which streets and areas are covered, down to a few streets around your business. Elsewhere in Quebec and Canada, we use Canada Post.

Which areas do your carriers cover?

Our carriers cover all of Montreal, all of Laval and, on the South Shore, Longueuil, Brossard, Candiac, La Prairie and Boucherville, with carrier distribution in line with the municipal regulations in force. Outside that area, we deliver through Canada Post, anywhere in Quebec and Canada.

What is targeted door-to-door distribution?

It means delivering your flyers straight to the homes in an area you choose, instead of an entire city. You target the neighbourhoods, postal codes, streets or carrier routes that match your customers. Prestige Média handles the targeting, printing and delivery: by our carriers in Montréal, Laval and the South Shore, or through Canada Post elsewhere in Quebec.

Can you target just a few streets or part of a carrier route?

Yes, with our carriers. We can split a letter-carrier route and deliver only on the streets you care about, for example around your store or a job site. This is available in Montréal, Laval and the South Shore; with Canada Post, delivery is by full routes only.

How is distribution verified?

Every carrier distribution is tracked: you receive a distribution report by area. In buildings, our carriers only deliver where access is authorized, never where it's prohibited. For Canada Post mailings, delivery is handled by Canada Post under its own standards and reaches 100% of the households in the area.

Which regions do you serve?

All of Quebec and Canada. In Montréal, Laval and the South Shore, our carriers deliver door to door with very precise targeting; everywhere else, we use Canada Post, mainly its Neighbourhood Mail service.

Choosing the right method

Carriers or Canada Post: which should I choose?

Choose our carriers for precise targeting in Montréal, Laval or the South Shore, and Canada Post to cover large areas or regions elsewhere in Quebec and Canada. Carriers can deliver to just a few streets; Canada Post delivers by full letter-carrier routes. We'll recommend the option that best fits your territory and budget.

What's the difference between door-to-door distribution and direct mail?

Door-to-door distribution delivers the same piece to every home in an area, with no name or address, while addressed direct mail sends a personalized piece to specific people on a list. Door-to-door is done by our carriers (Montréal, Laval and the South Shore) or through Canada Post Neighbourhood Mail. Direct mail uses Canada Post services such as Personalized Mail or Lettermail. We'll advise you based on your audience and goals.

How does geographic targeting work?

You choose where to deliver: a neighbourhood, a city, a postal code, a carrier route or a radius around your business. We help you map out the territory based on your customers and budget, so delivery is focused where it matters most. With our carriers, targeting can go down to a few streets.

Can a campaign target specific postal codes?

Yes. A campaign can target specific postal codes (for example H2J) or geographic sectors. It's ideal for a local business that wants to focus its advertising around its location or service area.

What is Canada Post Neighbourhood Mail?

It's the Canada Post service that delivers an unaddressed piece to every mailbox on the carrier routes you choose. It doesn't require names or addresses and covers all of Quebec and Canada. It's also available online, by full routes, on DoorBux.

Which businesses benefit from door-to-door distribution?

Any business with a local customer base: retail stores, restaurants, real estate brokers, renovation contractors, landscapers, dealerships, municipalities and service companies. Door-to-door reaches the residents of a specific area, whether in Montréal, Laval, on the South Shore or elsewhere in Quebec.

Addressed mail and data

What is Canada Post Personalized Mail?

Direct link to this question

What mail processing services do you offer?

We prepare your mailings from start to finish: address cleansing and validation, de-duplication, postal sorting, addressing, variable data printing, mechanical or manual inserting, folding and Canada Post presort preparation.

Can you clean up an address list before mailing?

Yes. We update and validate your address lists, remove duplicates and format the data to Canada Post sorting standards, which helps optimize postage rates.

Direct link to this question

Can each piece in a mailing be personalized?

Yes, with variable data printing (VDP). A name, address, offer code or custom text can be printed on each piece during production.

Printing and formats

Door hanger or postcard?

Choose a door hanger for maximum visibility and a postcard for a simple, high-volume offer. Door hangers are placed on the door handle by our carriers, so they get noticed right away, which suits neighbourhood services (renovation, landscaping, real estate). Postcards are more compact, work well for clear offers and can also be delivered by Canada Post anywhere in Quebec.

Which print products are used for door-to-door campaigns?

Mainly postcards, flyers, door hangers and promotional cards, in a range of sizes, papers and finishes. We'll recommend the right format for your message and delivery method.

Results and strategy

How many doors should a first campaign target?

It depends on your territory and budget: aim for enough households around your business to measure results, then repeat the drop in the same areas. With our carriers, it's custom, starting from just a few streets; with Canada Post, the minimum is 5,000 doors or a complete postal code.

Direct link to this question

Is door-to-door distribution effective for a local business?

Yes. A local business can focus its budget on the neighbourhoods around it instead of paying for broad coverage. With our carriers, in Montréal, Laval or on the South Shore, you can target only the streets near your location.

Direct link to this question

Can print be combined with digital marketing?

Yes. A printed piece can send people to your website, a landing page, a booking form or an online offer through a QR code, a custom URL or a clear call to action. This also makes campaign responses easier to measure.

Direct link to this question

Why use direct marketing in a local strategy?

Because it puts a tangible message in the hands of potential customers, right where they live. It complements digital advertising by giving you a physical presence in the neighbourhood, with the households you chose.
